A reminder of the social change undergoing the London’s Hackney area in the run up to the Olympics in 2012. The area was was a hotbed of artists and creatives enjoying its disconnection with mainstream London.



        The building had been squatted and required restoration. We designed plans to convert the terrace into two flats, comprising a 3 bed at basement and ground floor, and 2 bed at first floor. Keeping key living spaces arranged with plenty of daylight was important, allowing the building to function again as good quality housing.
